Seeram Ramakrishna made seminal contributions in understanding and enhancing the biological, chemical, electrical, mechanical, and physical responses of nanofibers made by electrospinning technology. His cutting-edge research appeared in prestigious journals including Nature, Nature Reviews Methods, Nature Communications, and Matter. He is ranked 11 globally in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (Elsevier | Stanford list). He is named among the World’s Most Influential Minds (Thomson Reuters) and a Highly Ranked Scholar (Scholar GPS). Has published over 500 papers in Q1 journals, with an H-index of 221 and more than 227,500 citations (as of December 2025). He holds over 70 patents. Delivered more than 500 invited opening speeches and keynote addresses at various renowned conferences, national events, and activities facilitated by the World Bank and the United Nations’ organizations around the world. Provided competitive technological innovation advisory services to multiple tech startups, contributing significantly to the notable benefits achieved in the commercialization of their scientific research outcomes.

Seeram Ramakrishna is a recipient of the Chinese Government Friendship Award, and Chang Jiang Scholar of Ministry of Education, China. He is a Fellow | Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering; UK Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng); Singapore Academy of Engineering; Indian National Academy of Engineering; ASEAN Academy of Engineering & Technology; International Academy of Engineering and Technology; International Academy of Bionic Science; and World Academy for Artificial Consciousness (WACA).
